  • Quattro gru Potain per la ristrutturazione dello storico Policlinico di Milano

    • Consorzio Stabile SIS ha scelto le gru Potain per la ristrutturazione di uno degli ospedali più antichi d’Italia, il Policlinico di Milano (conosciuto anche con il nome di Ospedale Maggiore di Milano) fondato nel lontano 1456. 
    • La società di costruzione Italiana ha acquistato quattro gru a rotazione alta Potain, due MDT 269 J12 e due MDT 389 L16, per superare le difficoltà del cantiere, che includono una strada di accesso particolarmente ristretta e mancanza di spazio per la manovra di mezzi pesanti.

Manitowoc donates crane simulator to IUOE’s training center in Texas

• The equipment allows students to practice basic crane operations and become more familiar with the controls.
• Manitowoc has provided cranes and technical support to every local chapter of the IUOE across the U.S. and Canada for more than two decades.

GCA subsidiary AUTAA deploys new Grove crane for hospital expansion in France

• AUTAA, a French lifting company and subsidiary of transport and logistics giant Charles André Group (GCA), deployed its new 300 t GMK6300L-1 all-terrain crane to assemble prefabricated modules for a local hospital’s extension. 
• The crane’s compact dimensions and quiet operation impressed from the outset, ensuring operations at the hospital continued with minimal impact from the expansion work.

Jörn Henselmans appointed Vice President and General Manager for Grove All-Terrain Cranes at Manitowoc

• Effective April 12, Jörn Henselmans serves as Vice President and General Manager for Grove All-Terrain Cranes at Manitowoc Cranes, based in Wilhelmshaven, Germany.
• Henselmans joined Manitowoc in October 2013, holding roles with increasing responsibilities at the Company, most recently as VP Operations, Senior Director of Quality and Director of Manufacturing.

Manitowoc highlights technician training and successful crane remanufacturing at M&T Expo 2024

Southern Cranes adds 10 new Grove all-terrain cranes to support growth strategy

• UK-based lifting and equipment provider Southern Cranes has ordered 10 Grove all-terrain cranes, including GMK5150XL, GMK5250XL-1, and GMK3060L-1 all-terrain models.
• The first GMK5250XL-1 has already been delivered and the complete order will be fulfilled by midyear.
• The new cranes are all three- and five-axle units, and form part of the company’s wider fleet modernization and diversification strategy.

Manitowoc launches two new Potain luffing jib cranes

• Manitowoc is introducing two new luffing jib crane models, the MR 309 and MR 329, which come in 16 t or 25 t maximum capacity variants.
• While both cranes share a 60 m jib and 3.4 t capacity at the tip, they have different load curves and heights under pivot thanks to the respective 2 m and 2.45 m pivot and mast configurations.
• The new generation responds to customer feedback for simpler and quicker erection, a greater height under pivot, more powerful load charts, and a smaller out of service radius (minimum 9.5 m up to 12 m).

Multi-Crane solves De Zaanse Helden’s jobsite puzzle with Potain cranes

• Dutch crane company Multi-Crane has deployed six Potain MDT topless tower cranes for the De Zaanse Helden residential project in Zaandam, near Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
• The project’s confined space demanded meticulous planning of the crane positioning, hook heights, and oversailing. Multi-Crane’s ability to solve the puzzle with its fleet of Potain MDT topless tower cranes won the company the rental contract.
